It takes 155 gen. to become the Bookends (and no junk). Curiously, at gen.126 the final form makes a premature appearance upside-down, but is ingested almost at once by raw matter.

There seems to be no interest in ancestors or diehards, just oscillators, spaceships, puffers and more exotic stuff.
