Fairly common in salad. Wonder why.

by super common I mean more common than the hat (which is a p2 oscillator)

Super common in the pond life variant B36i/S2-i34j5i. Why is that?

In B2k3-eq8/S2-i3-q4ce8, this evolves slightly differently, but still has the same apgcode.

The Octagon II has heat 16.

These are much more common in B3/S234w, as the octomino that normally turns into a fleet instead evolves into the octagon.

With relevance to the previous comment, it can interact with both because a snacker is a pentadecathlon with eaters. It can also interact with a HW emulator or any HW emulator variant with domino sparks. As this implies, it can interact with most domino sparkers.

this oscillator can interact with a pentadecathlon's domino spark and the snacker's spark in the same area:x = 11, y = 14, rule = B3/S23 3bo4bo$b2ob4ob2o$3bo4bo6$bo2bo$ob2obo$bo2bo$bo2bo$ob2obo$bo2bo! Actually, I lie. There's a third isomer:

I imagine these are the only three isomers of Figure-8-on-pentadecathlon, since there's a functorial correspondence between them and the naturally-occurring p120 oscillators in the symmetric b3s23/D8_4 census.

As far as I know, there are two isomers of Figure-8-on-pentadecathlon, both of which should be around 1000 times more common than the 'nice p40' you suggested.

I imagine we should start seeing these around the 10^14 mark.

Of course, we'll probably see a Figure-Eight-on-Pentadecathlon by then.

It can interact with a Figure-Eight in the same way as the fumarole, creating a nice P40 that might occur soon!

Hmm... It can interact with a fumarole's spark, but the fumarole seems too rare to have that happen any time soon.

Are there any ways this can interact with another object?
